Scam? Rec'd msgfrom Y! mail that I must confirm email w/in 72 hrs. or acct destroyed.?

This is not a new trick that the Scammer gets hold of your account and then send distress-email to everyone in the contact asking for financial help, pretending that the original holder of the account went to a foreign land and lost his moneybag and valuables. He would be grateful if you can send him money urgently. And that he had to leave the country without telling anyone since it was an urgent meeting abroad or such stories.

Never give any money to such distress-calls. Rather inform everyone in your Group who are using (common mass email addresses) that the account of so and so has been hacked and hijacked and that no one to respond till you can have authenticated the matter. See below how I acted when one of our friend's account was hacked and used to deceive others: ------------------------ "Dear All: Please be careful to respond to any CHAT msg apparently from Rabb whose accounts has been hacked by some scammers and he would try to engage you in chat to deceive you, as has happened in the past with other accounts.

I am appending a brief chat I had with that scam-guy for your update and precaution only: rabb: hi you there? Me: Hi Rabb me: I was here then went upstairs for a while me: did you hear about Steve Jobs? Me: who are you, by the way?

Me: Rabb's account has been hacked lately? Rabb:? Rabb:?

I rang Rabb in his telephone and asked him if he is online when the above chat was in progress. Rabb told me that he got similar message from his other contacts and he did not know what to do. I told him to change his password, which would now be little difficult, since in such cases the scammers would change the hacked ID's password first.

Now Rabb has to fill out online Form of Yahoo! And let them know the matter and then after Yahoo! Would verify Rabb's claim then they would allow Rabb to have that hacked ID back.

In the meantime, it would be Rabb's luck if the scammers do not already delete all the mails in his account and also already not deceived anyone in his e-mail address book, the way they tried to do with me (as above). 31-10-2011, 10:30 PM" You report to Yahoo! As suggested by other respondent.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
