Scientist are working on a cure for staph infections using shark skin?

Yes I do believe Scientist because in most cases they are right.

Personally I believe these scientists may be on to "something"... but that "something" would be unnecessary for staphyloccoccus. With the staph (MRSA) that kills so many, other scientists (who are probably not talking with the shark-skin scientists) are looking at a mechanism of MRSA that has been well understood for many years. That mechanism is involved with the immune system, but not a function of a weak immune system.

The way MRSA (flesh eating bacteria) works is it eats sugar, not flesh. Then MRSA makes strong acids and that is what "eats" the flesh around the colony of MRSA. Our immune system produces hydrogen peroxide to kill the MRSA.

But then the MRSA produces the enzyme catalase that decomposes our immune system's weapon, hydrogen peroxide, into oxygen and water. That is MRSA's secret weapon ... it can produce catalase! And the MRSA just chuckles and eats some more sugar.

Hm, Staphylococcus normally live in the human body, mostly in the skin - no wander they can never be completely destroyed by antibiotics. You cannot destroy what is natural part of your body - this bacterias are problem only when they are out of control - mostly caused by damaged immune system. Every use of antibiotics lowers natural immune system, so body more easily develops new infections, ( due to the damaged immune system), while in the meantime has become resistant on URL1 many cases, people die on that way, not because of Staphyloccoccus, but because damaged immune system cannot help fighting the excess of them.

Shark skeen for healing human skin problems? Let us think logically: since we do not live in the sea water,we cannot need same type of protection sharks have.It seems that developing such product will cause much more harm to the sharks, then to save any human life.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
