Mac might have issues accessing an NTFS drive. Also, have you tried accessing those files from another PC? They may be set to only allow user access from the account that created them.

If you right click and go to properties, and check the security tab, you may be able to change it to be allowed by all users. If it IS the filesystem, try exFat. It should be editable by both Mac and PC.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
