If you are on SSDI - Social Security Disability Income then an inheritance has no effect on your benefits. SSDI is a benefit based on your earnings it is not a "needs based" benefit. If you are on SSI - Supplemental Security Income then it may effect your benefit since it is a needs based benefit.
It will probably also negatively effect your Food Stamps, Section 8, and Medicaid since those are also needs based programs. It will probably be to your advantage to ask the Executor of the Estate pay your outstanding bills directly from your share of the estate before the estate is distributed. For instance, if you have $12,000 in debts and are due to get $15,000 the Executor can pay the $12,000 subtracting that amount from your inheritance.
It may be that all of the inheritance will be used in paying your bills, but at least that way your bills will be paid and since you have never taken possession of the money your benefits shouldn't be affected.
SSI, LINK, Medicaid and Section 8 are welfare, and needs based All sources of household income are relevant and must be reported It may have some short term impact on your eligibility Not reporting them could cause charges of fraud and require repayment of amounts received along with penalties and interest.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
