MyWebs wrote a great hub called Effective KeyWord Usage On HubPages. Check it out! This hub will more than answer your question!

:).

I strongly believe that the URL should contain the keyword for it to rank well with SEs. You cannot change the URL, but you can make changes in the title if you require.

Thank you all! You were very helpful. I checked out the recommended Hub too (Effective Keyword Usage) and found a lot of useful information.

:).

Each hub should have a main keyword and two additional keywords in tight relationship to the main kw. Any one of these three are great for ranking in the SERP's by using them in your url. The most important aspect of ranking is delivering the goods to the reading audience rather than the spiders.

Google is changing the algorithm often now to combat spammy content to favor the content that people interact with and pass along with weight to keywords that cause measurable actions.

I've dabbled quite a bit with SEO and have had a better experience with having the main keyword you are trying to rank for both in your URL and in your title. When your article/hub appears in the Google results, the Title, Meta Description (a short description of your hub), and your URL should ALL have the keyword or keyword phrase in them. This allows the Google search bots to better qualify your content and rank it faster, depending also if you're using that keyword correctly in your content as well.

Hope that helped! ;-).

No what happened is fine, you can keep the existing hub (which is option 3). The title is the most important aspect, so you can change the title to match the keyword you are focusing on. Having the other keyword in the url will help you target that keyword but at the same time will add a little variation.

Such variation never hurts. More keywords also increases the opportunities for the hub to naturally rank for different things. Of course, there are many different choices that can be made in SEO and a lot of it is to do with personal preference.

There are definitely right and wrong answers, but the keyword in the title/url is more of a grey area. In my own experience there should be a keyword in the URL, but it doesn't necessarily have to match the one in the title. An alternative would be to keep the hub, target the keyword in the URL, and just create another hub to target the other one you had in mind.

I intentionally use different URLs and titles. I believe this allows for more variety in key words without making the title sound strange. I put the important keywords in the URL and use the nice looking words in the title.

Also, there is a new tool called Title Tuner, I just see it as a clue that we're supposed to change the titles from time to time. You can check some of my hubs to see what I mean. Don't delete the hub if you feel URL contains important keywords.

I am not an seo expert buy my experience is that it is important the words be in the title and not so much in the url all though in this business every little bit helps.

Yes, It's very Important things for SEO Friendly URL and Webpages.

We did an experiment to see if the long-tail url matters and it did not appear to make a difference. However, the domain does help with ranking if it has the keywords in it.

It certainly is a big help. I recommend it. One should always choose titles and words of a url carefully.

Many sites are completely useless sites based upon keywords. If you want top ranking the title is your best tool plus content and links back. You want to repeat key words in sub-titles too.

Google my name... you'll see.

It is better if your keyword matches URL... this is part of onsite SEO. This is not so important but gives you some extra points in googles eyes...

Of the utmost importance. You should always go with just using the main keyword as your URL to keep it short and clean looking, then when you make the Hub you can edit the title to still contain the keyword yet also give it life. If you do what you did, like so many of us have, then no way to change it except delete and repeat.

:).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
