That is simply not true! When in doubt look at the mother or the father and that's the environment the daughter or son grew up in and 9 chances out of 10 the daughter or son will be like their parents. If you see no similarities (it can happen) between your girlfriend and her mother then you shouldn't worry.
I know many women who's mothers were miserable and nagged constantly, but the daughter took after her father who was quiet and not argumentative.It's suggestible to you to give it a bit more time before deciding to get married and then make your judgment on her.
