The Nexus has a proprietary USB connector (you get a cable in the box) which you can use to connect the tablet to your PC. From there you can transfer files across. TBH the built in media player is a bit rubbish, but there is lots of good ones on the Play market, mostly free I think there is a way to transfer files over wifi too, but I've never used it, I don't use it for movies really.
Edit: The Nexus is a great tab for the money, I'd go with the 8GB version myself as I don't horde media. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" is a better device, especially the one with 3G, as it has an SD card slot and the Keis software is great for dropping software/files onto the device over wifi.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
