Should I buy disney stock now that they bought star wars?

Step one is to open an account with an online broker, like Scottrade. They have offices in every decent sized city, go online and look them up. Deposit the 5K and a day or so later the funds will be available for trading.

Have a plan in place--how much you want to invest, and how you want your finances to look in 5 years, 10 years, and further. It's usually better to diversify, not sink all your money into one company or one stock, especially since you don't have that much to invest. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
