You put crap glass on a fullframe and you'll soon realize you don't know as much as you think you do.
In the long run you do tend to need both. The 5D mkII is a slow camera suited for a more controlled enviroment where you can take your time for focusing. The 7D is more suited for high action, but it isn't expecially great in low light, or colour depth.
You will eventually want to have both, but your immediate choice is whether you'll be working more with action or control. In short: Get the 7D for speed, buy the 5DmkII for quality.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
