Should I buy the iPod Touch now or should I wait?

Given how frequent Apple's release cycles are, whenever you buy it, it won't be that long before there's a new version out. Having said that, there are plausible rumors of a new iPod Touch version coming in the next few months, and a possible forking of the range into more than one version. If you care about getting the latest and the best, and getting the absolute most bang for your buck, it might be worth waiting til Sep-Oct and see what happens.

Personally I think it's much the same thing as with any tech like laptops or digital cameras... whatever you get, whenever you get it, soon there will be better and/or cheaper alternatives. So if I want something or need it, I just get it, and not obsess too much about the timing. Btw, my first gen iPod Touch is still a great little device.

Apple might have planned something for hardware update. The initial release was date was early February 2008. macrumors.com/2008/02/05/apple-announces... Then, it was updated on early September 2008.

Really its up to you, it depends on how badly you want or need it and how much you can afford, if you can afford one and really need on they nice to have. If I had money I would get one, they just have a lot of nice features.

Id say if you really wanna get an ipod get it..but if you havd patients then wait. If I were you I would get it! Thats because its a very unique mp3 player and yes I have one so as my brother.

Get one and play around with it...theres also a wifi connectivity that comes with it.

I would highly recommend getting it! However, you know in like 6 months something even hotter will make you wish you waited.

Buying an iPod Touch now would be unwise for two major reasons. First, the 3.0 software just came out and it won't be included with the new ipods. You'll need to buy it separately, another 10 dollars.

Second, it is invariably true that there will be new iPods come September, probably with large capacities. If you can wait until mid to late September, then you will be much happier.

Wait a month until the ipod touches come with iPhone3.0 os pre-installed guaranteed. Otherwise you may have to pay the upgrade cost of 10.00. Otherwise they are really nice little devices.

As of yesterday (June 19th) iPod Touches at Apple stores are all 3rd generation (the newest one), so you might as well get one now.

I recommend getting a Zune instead. In my experience, iPods are more expensive and have many more malfunctions.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
