In the last four plus decades of my engineering career I have met only one double major of any two technical disciplines that was successful. I have met many that were, uh, not particularly successful. Most of the bioengineer types I have worked with had Chem E majors and bio on top of that.
If EE floats your boat more than Chem E, major in EE. Talk to who you want to do the MS with and get any suggestions from them regarding curriculum. Take electives that support your interests, Don't waste your time with a double major.
Then go for the MS.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
