Deep cleaning doesn't happen, and a pore doesn't open and close like a valve. That being said, steaming your face does increase humidity and the water content of the stratum corneum. The heat dilates blood vessels and brings more circulation to the periphery, and that plumps up the skin.
But the pores themselves don't have a response to this, although they may appear to be more "open" because your skin is plumper. As the water evaporates from your skin, they appear to "close" again. A word of caution: hot water vapor so near your skin can scald it, and for someone with rosacea steaming is a recipe for disaster.
Although it may sound counterintuitive, the evaporation of the water vapor will dry out your skin poststeaming, so you must use a moisturizer afterward.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
