Have revised my answer. I now understand you mean should she play Jesus Christ Superstar|Jesus. Unequivocaly no.
There is no way that Madonna would be a good fit as Jesus. A gender reversal in the role will completely destroy the central themes of Jesus Christ Superstar. The whole movie is inextricabally tied to the life and times of Jesus. To have a woman in the role, any woman, shatters that premise and removes the suspension of disbelief as a moviegoer.
It becomes absurd. The women at that time in Rome had no power. There is no way that Jesus could be portrayed as a woman.
Now if you mean, should Madonna cross genders and play Jesus as if he was still a man? Again I think this is impossible because people will still see her as Madonna. The singing parts are not in Madonna's vocal range.
Why not just get a man to play it? Also, you are talking here about a very specific piece of art. The musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Tim Rice.
It's got a specific, set story and several songs and themes. To simply drop a woman into the main role, or have a woman play the main role as if she was a man, does not work. Now, I could see *some* adaptation of Jesus' life, somewhere, that portrayed a woman in the role of Jesus, or that portrayed Jesus as a woman.
But Jesus Christ Superstar can't really handle it. I am sorry that I am not providing sources, but in this case, this is largely an opinion based question. I can provide sound reasoning as to why I believe what I believe, but I do not think that the question lends itself well to source material.
Nevertheless, I'll try to dig some up below in replies.
Anything Madonna does is going to be about Madonna. She may be a good actress (though her record with movies doesn't support that), but placing her in that role in that movie is going to make the entire production nothing more than a commentary on Madonna and her various beliefs and issues.
In a 2008 interview with Variety magazine, film producer Marc Platt stated that he was in discussions with several filmmakers for a remake of Jesus Christ Superstar. It has been announced that Marc Webb will direct the remake and it will be released in 2014. The movie was very popular earning North American rentals of $10.8 million in 1973.
The film as well as the musical were criticized by some religious groups. Tim Rice said Jesus was seen through Judas' eyes as a mere human being. Found this remark, as well as the fact that the musical did not show the resurrection, to be blasphemous.
Some found Judas too sympathetic; in the film, it states that he wants to give the thirty pieces of silver to the poor, which, although Biblical, leaves out his ulterior motives (see also "Everything's Alright"). Biblical purists pointed out a small number of deviations from biblical text as additional concerns; for example, Pilate himself having the dream instead of his wife, and Catholics argue the line "for all you care, this bread could be my body" is too Protestant in theology, although Jesus does say in the next lines, "This is my blood you drink/This is my body you eat". In the 1980 book The Golden Turkey Awards by Michael Medved and Harry Medved, Ted Neeley was given an award for "The Worst Performance by an Actor as Jesus Christ".
,7 yet Neeley and Anderson received Golden Globe nominations for their portrayals of Jesus and Judas in the film version and had subsequently gone on to recreate the roles in numerous national stage tours from 1993-2010 (2004 for Anderson, as he died of leukemia). The soundtrack for the film was released on vinyl by MCA Records in 1973. It was re-released on CD in 1993 and 1998.
The soundtrack for the film was released in the USA on vinyl by MCA Records (MCA 2-11000) in 1973, as: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR / The Original Motion Picture Sound Track Album. ^ "Jesus Christ Superstar, Box Office Information". ^ a be Forster, Arnold; Epstein, Benjamin (1974).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
