In 5 mans you'll probably see a mage beat out a warlock since they can pop their mirror images and blow up the DPS meters. Then again, a 1 minute fight isn't the best to gauge the strengths/weaknesses between classes. When it comes down to 80 raid boss fights, the environment and mechanics of the fight can change how a class looks on the DPS meter.
If melee can stay on a boss while ranged have to switch, then melee will be typically higher than ranged. I play a warlock, and I have seen myself beat equally geared mages and also lose to equally geared mages. I have also beaten more geared mages.
Then I have also seen other warlocks beat the same equally geared mages, the ones I've lost to. When it comes down to it, it all depends on the skill of the player. Gear isn't insignificant, but it can help.
I find a warlock a lot more fun than a mage. My mage is still in his 60s while my warlock is pretty much in all 264s with a sprinkling of 251s and some lower. I'm still waiting to replace ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
