Of course they should. The best way to combat? Talk to your kids!
Talk about harassment, bullying, make sure he's aware of the consequences, show them sites about victims. Make sure they don't become one of the Bullies. Also make sure they report any bullying or harassment they see because so much bullying gets unreported.
There are many silent victims. Everything starts at home. Sure there's lots of organizations out there that try to combat bullying, but the truth is, I think we'd see a huge decline if parents actually took the time to talk to their children in depth about this subject.
Everyone thinks, "oh my kids wouldn't do that! " or "if they did anything at all it was not meant to be mean, he was probably just playing" or my all time favorite, "..you're overreacting. Boys will be boys" insinuating that bullying is just what kids do.
Anyway, 2cents caChed.
Most sites have flag buttons or report abuse buttons. You can report them or just ignore them that way they get bored then leave you alone. Never feed into to their behavior once you do you will be bullied.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
