Should Self Defense Classes be electives in schools?

The problem is - students will want to practice on each other.

After school, we would go behind the school and practice.

I was an active in Martial Arts for almost twenty years and I have seen the various reactions and confrontations along the way. In my opinion, in spite of all the challenges along the way, I think a program such as this is a good idea.

The world, sadly, can be a dangerous place, better to be prepared.

As I have told my students.... it is SELF (for you solely) DEFENSE (is reactive and NOT proactive, it is for defense and not attack).

I think it would be a good idea for kids to be enrolled in self-defense classes. If it is offered in the school premises, its the best place to learn.

Positives what I can see are very simple - children learn to identify the possible threats(bullying etc) which one can come across, not only in a school, but also outside.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
