Should the basketball-playing countries of the world, outside of the USA, start a true World Championship of Basketball?

I don't think theres enough interest for a true World Championship. The USA basketball teams would be way too good, and would win every year anyways. It's not a huge sport outside the USA, other countries do have teams, but their leagues arn't as talented.

We have played in the Olympics, winning almost every time we went. Some countries wouldn't bring enough competition, as we could have Kobe and Lebron dominating on the same team. I think one solution would be to change the name to USA Championship instead of World.

I don't think it would work because: 1. USA has all of the best clubs in the world. The NBA 30 are the 30 best clubs in the world.

A World Club Championship similar to that of the UEFA Football Champions League simply wouldn't be competitive at all. 2. Most other countries don't care about basketball.3.It's incredibly hard for clubs to travel around the world and play.

It's simply too time consuming and tiring for players. Can you imagine the Boston Celtics playing a club from China one day and 3 days later playing the Lakers?4. A regional club championship wouldn't be bad.

But then you have to have teams from different countries that are about the same talent wise.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
