Should The Church Demand Proof that Couples Be Free of HIV/AIDS/STDs Before Solemnizing Marriages?

I don't think a parishoner's health should be any concern of the Church unless the parishoner wishes to share with his cleric. EVERYone deserves to get married if that is what they want. What business is it of the Church's if one or both halves of the couple have HIV or AIDS?

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that a couple may marry; but, only if they are free of certain diseases.

No, it would be the same as saying you must be free of sin before you marry, a ridiculous idea. HIV and AIDS are cureable. You just need the right people to get the implements to destroy the "Infliction", which does exist, I have seen it happen.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
