The American Public is not alone in their concern as to who will win this forthcoming US presidential election. The International Community is also interested, understandably so, given America's current role as the only remaining superpower. Decisions made by the US Administration increasingly affect the daily lives of people all over the world.

Heck, why should they, when we don't get to vote in the US presidential election.... We don't elect the president, the delegates of the electoral college do. We only get "represented" in the presidential elections...once those delegates get to college they can pretty much do just what most college students do when they leave home...whatever they darn well feel like! But really, the best we can do for the international community is get someone in office who tells the truth and deals with other countries with some integrity.Do unto others as you would have them do...instead of whatever you can get away with because you are the biggest kid on the block!

No, of course not. The implication in your question, I think, is some sense that the US governs the world, or has such influence that it amounts to the same thing. And nothing is further from the truth.
Much of the world rejects US hegemony almost viscerally. After all, look at what happened when Bush and his minions have tried to bully the world into going along with his Iraq schemes -- except for the Brits, there was an embarrassingly small handful of countries that sent token forces for political reasons, while their populations objected strongly. Yes, people are interested, because they are interested in peace and prosperity, and in a global economy, the US is a big player.
And because of US over-investment in its military (vastly more than any other country, any way you measure it), it is the only one able and willing to project that power globally. But that interest is a wary watchfulness, and even hostility, given the current Administration's gunslinging tendencies. So it makes no sense to have foreigners participate in a US election.(BTW, since there are some 6 Billion people on the world vs. 300 Million here in the US, how would you expect them to participate, anyway?
Especially when we can barely get our votes counted correctly? ) .
This question is so far off the wall it is hard to believe the asker is serious. The constitution does not allow it. If you think it should, good luck in trying to change it.
1 sure, why not. They can all vote - right after they dismantle their existing governments and start paying taxes to this country and following this country's laws. This user has been banned from Askville.

2 I'm on MrItty's side with this one. We pay taxes and live under this country's laws here, so we get a vote. The next rulers of Russia, China, Iraq, North Korea, Iran, etc. Will all have impacts across the globe.
But you don't think Americans or Europeans (or others) should be allowed to vote in all of those elections. Right?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
