Yes, I certainly do think that babies should be called babies no matter their gestational age. I am a grandma of a baby who was born on 11/24/2002 but she died 2 days earlier. She was considered a baby on 11/22 but because she did not breathe on 11/24, she was not considered a baby at birth or death. It is legally as if she was never born or died.
There was not birth certificate or death certificate however; there were still final expenses for her as if she was alive. It made no sense to me back then, still does not and after this long it doubt it ever will.To her momma, and me Kylieanne, was a baby even though the law says she was not. When her body left my daughter’s she had ten toes, ten fingers and looked as if she was sleeping.
She had hair, a cute little nose, and was good sized for a baby who was born at 31 weeks. The only thing that did not look like a normal newborn was the elonged neck with the damn cord wrapped around it. If your eyes are leaking, you are not the only one.
I still cry every freaking when I think about her. She was a baby, and I will always think of her as a baby.
Refer to them as pre -born and they have all the basic rights that a child of a citizen of the country of the parents are entitiled to.
I think you would have groups against this as it would give an unborn baby rights and would cause problems with the abortion people. And anytime a State has to give out money for this they will say no. I don't know anymore but in New Zealand years ago a baby was born on it' first birthday, being one year old at birth.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
