Should we go on a cruise or go to an all-inclusive resort to Cabo San Lucas?

I would like to take a 5 day vacation so I'm debating whether to go on a 5 day cruise or stay for 5 days at an all-inclusive. I'm ok with the alcohol-not-included aspect of the cruise but the 5 day cruise really only stays 1 day in Cabo.So I'm wondering if one day in Cabo is really enough. Any thoughts?

Depends on the type of vacation you want I own a timeshare in Cabo San Lucas, Baja, Mexico and visit it almost every year. It really depends on the kind of vacation you want. Cruises are fun if they are big and visit many ports for me.

Some people like all the food you can eat but the cruise but for me the convenience of a cruise is so that you do not have to unpack and pack everytime you come to a new destination / port. My wife and I went to the Greek Islands on a cruise and that made sense than planning a trip to every island there. Generally my stays in Cabo San Lucas are the "relaxing" type of vacations of hanging out at the pool or beach and getting some sun and down time.

There are plenty of activities for the "active" people too but we prefer the slower pace of vacation there. You can go on a sail board ride for a sunet cruise for a night, 4 wheeling in the desert, golf on beautiful courses, glass bottom boat ride to Lover's Arch, para-sailing on the beach, fishing trips and of courses clubbing at night in Cabo. San Jose is more my speed for a nice restaurant.

There is a lot of growth in Cabo San Lucas as there is now a Sam's Club and a Costco. Be prepared to have 3-54 hours of your time taken in a day if you decide to take pople up on offers for a time share. They will give you cash - US dollars, blankets, tequilla, coupons for free golf, sail boat rides etc.If you listen to a HARD sale for a time share.

Almost everyone who speaks English tries to get you to a time share meeting for somethiong. The people work at car erntal companies, restaurants, hotels, taxi cabs and people on the street barking at you for a free something. We listen to a time share sales picth at our hotel.

So take the cruise if you enjoy the cruise life. If you want to enjoy a relaxing vacation stay in Cabo San Lucas for the entire 5 days. You will get beautiful sunsets.

You can watch whales migrating if you visit the right time of the year. Generally it starts getting really hot after Memorial Day so I would not visit there after that or during the summer. March and April are beautiful there.

Or even earlier than that. Cabo San Lucas is where the desert meets the water / ocean. Sources: http://www.allaboutcabo.com/ .

Done both Done both in Cabo, Puerto Vellarta, and Cancun. Both all inclusive and cruise offer a lot a value for your money. You could find pluses to either side.

Personally I would prefer the all inclusive. All inclusive pluses No rocking boat, Free alcohol, Bigger room, 100% of your time is in port. More freedom with your time, more space to move around, more time for tours.

Beaches in Cabo much better then pool on ship. Cruse pluses probably cost less if you can drive to your initial disembarkation. Better kids clubs if traveling with children, food is probably a little better (depends on class of all inclusive).

Better entertainment. Sources: personal travel .

1 One day in Cabo is more than enough! If you want to see Mexico, don't spend any time in Cabo. It is a completely tourist Americanized town.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
