Oh my gosh I can't count all of the gross moments I've had, at work mostly. Just today, I was cleaning a dirty, pooped-on feed pan and I splashed some of the poopy soap water in my mouth. I'm also not so graceful at dumping dirty water troughs.
I always manage to dump the manure and algae infested water in my sneakers. I've also seen a lot of really gross injuries. The nastiest injury that ever came into the clinic was a mare who got caught in a high tensile wire fence.
Her left front leg was "degloved". There was nothing left of her leg but bone and a few tattered remains of soft tissue. I'm not really a fan of salmonella or potomac horse fever or anything else that causes explosive diarrhea, because I'm usually the one scrubbing it off the horse's bum, cleaning it out of the stall, and scrubbing it off the walls.
It's really bad when the horse gets diarrhea on the wall because I usually get that soapy water in my mouth and hair and all over. There must be something wrong with me because every time I clean something, I seem to just transfer the grossness from whatever I'm cleaning onto myself. I've also seen and participated in necropsies on dead horses.
It is really gross fishing around in a dead horse's entrails.
I was putting up a fly trap that had water and fly stuff in it and some of it spilled on me so im like ewww... an so I went to wash my hands after I put it up. And that day was relax day for my horse so I gave him a bath and put him back. Then I stayed at my farm for a little while and I felt some tingling on my hand and I looked at my hand and there was a swarm of fly on it and I shook my hand hand and screamed and washed my hand with bleach.
It was so gross! O and then the next day my horse went into the peeing positions nd I was like what ever and then my friend was polishing the hoof on the other side and I got up to get my saddle and my friend screamed and I ran over from my tack locker and her shirt had a big wet stain on it and my horse was peeing it was gross good thing I brought another shirt there.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
