SIg Sauer SP2022 Vs Beretta Px4 Storm .40?

I am 6 foot, 175 pounds and I carried a full size 1911 pistol as a daily concealed carry pistol for 10 years and a Colt Combat Commander for another 10 years and currently carry a full size Smith & Wesson M&P. Full size guns are not difficult to conceal with the right holster and clothing. Now, as for the Sig P250 vs. Beretta PX4.

The Beretta does not have much of a track record. It has been adopted by the Canadian border patrol as their standard pistol, but few other agencies of that size are using it. I am not a big fan of the rotating barrel system it uses, but it seems to be working ok so far.

The Sig P250, on the other hand, is a big steaming pile of fail. It was selected by the U.S. Federal Air Marshal Service to replace their Sig P229 pistols. After less than one year all the P250 pistols were removed from service and replace with the old P229 pistols that they fortunately had not sold off yet.

Then the P250 was part of the selection process with BATF to select the new pistol for the Treasury Department. It was competing with Glock and Smith & Wesson. It was removed early on from the selection process.

You can find an amazing amount of info about it here: http://www.gao.gov/decisions/bidpro/4023... To save you some time here is the money quote: Based on the results of the shooting tests, the SSB recommended to the contracting officer that Sig Sauer's handgun be excluded from further consideration as unacceptable with respect to reliability. Then it was adopted by the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice as the standard pistol for all Dutch police and that contract was canceled before any pistols were even issued. The Minister of Security and Justice, I.W. Opstelten sent a letter dated 8 November, 2011 to the Chairmen of the Dutch House of Representatives explaining his decision to dissolve the agreement with Sig Sauer.

Quote from that letter: On the basis of the results of these tests I no longer find it responsible to continue with this pistol. There is no longer enough confidence in the quality of the pistol or in the capacity of the manufacturer to improve the quality or safeguard it. All this brings a risk to the safety of officers on the street.

Full letter here: http://media.rtl.nl/media/actueel/rtlnie... On the basis of those tests, 3 agencies, 3 different calibers (Air Marshals .357 Sig, ATF .40 S&W, Ministry of Security and Justice 9mm) exact same results each time I would recommend that people not depend on a Sig P250 for anything important like saving their life.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
