So, any suggestions to get my wife for her birthday -- which is 4 weeks away and one week after a scheduled c-section? Big bday indeed?

A great birthday present is "hire a maid or nanny" for 2 or 5 days. She would not be able to do a lot when she comes back from the hospital with the baby. Especially after a c-section.

If she has help, she might be able to take things a little bit easy and recover faster. Believe me she is going to need the help. Do not forget the flowers and the jewelry.

Well, I don't know what she likes, but most women would enjoy a day trip to a spa to relax. If she doesn't want to be away from the baby that long hire someone to come out and pamper her. A romantic dinner is always nice, too, just get/make her favorite food and light up a few candles.

Actions always outweigh things.

The gift of an all day love and dedication and I guess you can throw in a nice ring or necklace.....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
