So if you activate the coin multiplier and quickly go to Mturk and answer a question does it still multiply the coins?

Yes, it does! I activated my L1 coin multiplier and went to MTurk and answered a question. It did double my coins.

After answering the question, it immediately appears in your "Recent Activity" in Askville like this: 11:29 AM Private to you You used your gold multiplier to answer the question: "Who has been convicted of raping and killing kimberly ann ruggles? " 11:29 AM Private to you You answered the question: "Who has been convicted of raping and killing kimberly ann ruggles? " The first line shows that it did recognize my multiplier. It also works the same with L2 multiplier.

I tested it with my L2 multiplier and it did multiply my gold: 8:47 AM Private to you You used your gold multiplier to answer the question: "Has anyone visited auto trader. Com?" 8:47 AM Private to you You answered the question: "Has anyone visited auto trader. Com?

" Also I was wondering what the restrictions are for that to recognize my multiplier. The answer is that I should hit when my multiplier is on. Even if I hit when my multiplier is off it does work.

It is different in Askville. In Askville if you take the answer slot *before* you turn on your multiplier, the multiplier does not work for that specific answer. There is however another difference. In Askville you can take up to 10 answer slots and hold them and answer them later but in MTurk you cannot accept more than 1 HIT at a time!

Here is my third answer that I submitted from MTurk with my multiplier: 9:01 AM Private to you You answered the question: "How many amendments are there in the United States Constitution? " 9:01 AM Private to you You used your gold multiplier to answer the question: "How many amendments are there in the United States Constitution? " It is really hard to find good questions there.

Since most of the questions on MTurk are now bonus questions. I rejected more than 20 HITs there, in order to find these 3 and do my experiment! Here is an interesting experiments that I did.

I found a question from MTurk. Then I came back to Askville and realized that the question has an answer. I opened up the answer from Askville and then from MTurk I hit that lets me answer the question.

This is what I got, and it was expected: Worker Account Halted for 5 minutes Your account has been temporarily halted. This can happen when you repeatedly perform actions that indicate you are not abiding by the Participation Agreement. A halted account is unable to preview, accept, resume, or submit HITs.

This halt will be automatically lifted by the system after 5 minutes. P.S. If you are an MTurker you might want to check out my answer here. It seems that MTurk instruction for bonus questions is so misleading since those bonus questions are not going to be rated by anyone other than Askvillers.

Therefore most of them are going to end up with default 3's, hence no BA Ribbon and no NowNow weekly reward. http://askville.amazon.com/Rating-bonus-questions-Opinions/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=13411616 .
