So is it true: Social Security payments due in January, 2016, will be paid on December 31, 2015?

It is 11 am on the west coast (12-31-15)and when I accessed my bank account on line my SSA income had already been directly deposited. It is normally deposited on the 3rd of the month but since that is a Sunday, it goes in the last working day before the third, which is today.
