It is not the players it mostly D'Antoni he is only coaches offense not defense he isnt a good coach its called the run and gun he only coaches offense I don't like him he teaches the players not to play defense.

The Knicks, contrary to what other answers may say, are not stupid. They realize that Chandler alone will not give them enough defense to make a hard run into the playoffs. However, they are making strides.

They drafted the hyper-defensive 6'4" PG Iman Shumpert, and are planning to (presumably) move some guards for a decent defensive Forward to come off the bench (think Artest). Also, we need to move out D'Antoni. I've met him, very nice man, but let's face facts: Mike D'Antoni is an offensive coach.
