Soap scum vs. hard water stains someone recently asked how to remove soap scum from their showers. My question is, what is the difference between soap scum and hard water stains? How do you remove both?
I have a tile shower with glass enclosures in one bathroom and a one piece bath/shower combo in another bathroom.... Asked by kp02 53 months ago Similar questions: soap scum hard water stains Home > Home Improvement.

Purchase at the local DOLLAR STore, THE WORKS. Will work on both issues for only a buck! .
Soap scum is a slimy residue left behind by soap, shampoo, & the like. Hard water stains are actually caused by minerals that are carried in your water and deposit themselves on the shower walls and doors. If you have really hard water, you don't even need soap scum or dirty human bodies to create a nice mess--just the water alone will do it for you!
The soap scum is, in my opinion, a lot easier to get rid of. Any of the bathroom tub & tile cleaners will do it. Hard water stains look like they've disappeared when the surface is wet, but when it dries out, the stains tend to come back (sorta like Lady MacBeth's spot!).
I've found that using the cleaner TSP, which you can get in Home Depot, works really well on both. Its in the painting prep aisle (in my store) and is usually used for heavy duty cleaning and prep work prior to painting. But you can use it for a lot of stuff.
Another thing that really helps on the glass of the the shower doors is to use a paint scraper---the kind that have the utility razor blades in them. Wash the glass with the TSP solution, and instead of using a squeegie, use the paint scraper. Works really well.
You can use it on tile, too. Just don't use it on a plastic or composite shower stall. If you slip, or press too hard, you'll shave pieces out of it!

I am tired of scrubbing til my hands are numb!
What is a good way to clean water stains from exterior brick.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
