Some modern theologians explain that science answers "How?" and religion answers "Why?". What does that mean?

Not really, science fails to provide any explanation how the physical world or life came into being. The Big Bang at best explains what may have happened after the physical world popped into existence. Evolution explains variation within existing reproductive groups, but so far science presents no viable explanation for the origins of those reproductive groups.

Religion does not attempt to explain HOW physical world or life was created, it identifies the Agent (WHO) that was behind creation of the Physical World and life. That being said, Science is starting to uncover some clues about the origin of the material world and HOW it might have come into existence. This of course is problematic for Materialists because the explanation requires a willful conscious action which in turn requires a willful conscious actor (Agent).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
