In Montreal, you'll notice a lot more French, but it's a big city with apartments and stores, much like any other North American city. Quebec city is quite different. There's a old city section, that really feels like Europe, with older buildings and much more French influence.

Also some people in Quebec will refuse to speak English for political reasons, even though the education system is bilingual. That's a big difference. In Quebec province, the education system is bilingual, French/English.

In the rest of Canada, few people study French, so it's mostly monolingual.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
