Item under Warranty. I have these pair of Infinity interlude speakers that I purchased directly from Harman Consumer Group a little under five years ago. I had these in my meditation room along with Radioshack external tweeters.
Recently I moved it to my study without the external tweeters and noticed that one of the speakers was lacking in highs. I switched receivers and connections just to make sure the speakers were hooked up correctly. I finally determined that this unit is lacking treble and took it to an Infinity Repair facility who determined that the tweeter was never installed.
I called and emailed Harman but a guy replied that they would not fix it because I have had it for too long. I am angry and want to file a complaint with the government and BBB. The warranty will expire July 2008.

Write them again First make sure that the five year warranty is comprehensive. Write them again. They are likely stalling so your five year warranty expires.
You need to state that (insert technician's name) at the repair facility determined that the tweeters were never installed at the factory. Stress that lack of quality control is a manufacture defect. As long as you keep writing them they will eventually cave.
Filing a complaint with the BBB will do nothing, it just rolls of Infinity's back. Sources: opinion .
1 Some more things:How long you've had the speakers is immaterial; what does matter is that you've had them for less than the five years they are guaranteed for. You should also remind them the warranty is part of the reason you chose them over other brands.

3 Harman can easily send you a nice set of better, newer speakers and apologize for both, mishandling this case and selling you defective speaker 5 years ago. Let Harman management know your problem. It is common today that products get obsolete quickly and built in quality is poor at the very beginning.
Warranty cost is built into purchasing price. You have paid for warranty. Harman owes you a pair of newer speakers with new 5 year warranty.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
