How cool! I had never heard about this - thanks for posting the question! It looks like a lot of fun and apparently, they even won an Emmy for it!
Not bad for some guys who just threw an idea out there and did some editing! I think another fun idea would be The Godfather - that would be hilarious! Can you imagine?
Actually, this is not the first remake of the Star Wars movies. Many great, funny ones have been done earlier, and they are very funny to see (and often of great quality! ) As an example, I include the 'Star Dudes' Star Dudes Episode I : The Phantom Dude youtube.com/watch?v=eqH2wmpn9NE Star Dudes - Episode VI : Return of the Dude youtube.com/watch?v=7j-NzujiKWI The rest can be found on youTube, checking this {youTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Topov81 There are also some excellent cross-overs, for both movies and games.
For instance, the PS3 game Heavy Rain has been given the GTA IV overhaul: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1kFNxpp-Ak and many, many movies have been re-created as brickmovies (completely re-done in Lego): including Equilibrium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=977kmqIj1jE or xXx: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LyhJLv9rOo or even Psycho! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02j9KvHcJW4 I know there are fan recreations of Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings, including full length films. I'd love to see them do some of the Batman movies, like The Dark Knight, some of the Pixar movies, including the Toy Story movies, and of course the Indiana Jones movies!
Edit: Nearly forgot! The best one to recreate would be Once Upon A Time In The West of course! You can do brilliant work with those staring scenes :).
I would love to see Blade Runner made like this. There are so many interesting scenes that fans can rattle off from memory that it could make an interesting movie. The early James Bond movies, such as Dr. No, Goldfinger, and Thunderball could also be intersting to see in this format.
What guy has not thought about being either James Bond, or one of the evil people that he hunts down? How many woman would love to have a chance to be a Bond Girl for at least 15 second? Some how my first post went as a comment, and not an answer.
I will have to report that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
