SUFFragettes? am I right? Why did a campaign for women’s suffrage develop in the years after 1870?

Hello Mike Can we dig up Guido Fawkes & let him have another go at both the House of Lords & Parliament. Lets face it they are both as bad as each other. As far as the Lords is concerned the majority should simply be carted off to Senior Citizens homes as all they seem to be able to do is sleep.

Seriously, there is absolutely no need for a House of Lords & it should be disbanded. At least when we vote we vote for the MPs not the Lords & as the Lords are not elected by the electorate they should not be permitted to 'meddle' in political affairs. It is obvious if the Government decide to pass a bill disbanding the Lords & that bill has to go to the Lords for approval, obviously they are gong to kick it out.

GB has one of the largest parliaments in the world & it is a very small nation so why is it that we have to pay for both 600 plus MPs & goodness knows how many senile Lords & Ladies? Poseidon.

The house of lords has no power it is just a talking shop for retired politicians, you seem to be glorying in anarchy and the people you pretend to support will be the first to lose out ,the poor the sick the old. Join the army if you want to see some trouble.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
