Kat, I will take everything you have said to me under serious advisement, I do trust my cardiologist and I trust my PCP, I do think I might be able to solicit two varied opinions from both men, opinions after all are like belly buttons, everyone has one. I do think your advice is prudent, I should start with the 20mg, this will as you point out allow two things to transpire, 1) see if there are any of the typically rare side effects concurrent with a 20mg dose 2) get my triglycerides below 100%+ out range, I know my cardiologist feels that "time is of the essence" so this full scale approach is warranted, my PCP would take a more conservative approach so once again its a matter of OPINION, I am however prone to listen to the reason you have laid out before me. That the desired results can be achieved without any other .
I will talk to my PCP and I will incorporate what you have said to me,as I said I might get my PCP to agree with me on principle ,however It is most likely that he will defer to my cardiologist. Most encouraging and pragmatic is you telling me that we can take a step back and fine tune the meds, getting the Triglycerides lowered at the onset of treatment is the primary accomplishment, something I understand my cardiologist has a greater body of understanding and results to fall back upon, whereas my PCP likely does not -after all I asked my PCP for a referral to a heart specialist and after discussing several choices I decided to see this one, so my PCP had a hand in sending me to this Cardiologist that has made this determination, I would have to say that you have helped me decide to take my cardiologists approach and a wait and see attitude, as you point out we can fine tune the meds as needed, I do not want to undergo another CABG -so I will heed your advice to heed my cardiologists advice, I tend to think Nurses are well in the know as they must be keen observers of the results of Dr's, discussions, as they are on the front line and see first hand what works and what does not. I feel better now that you have given me some foundation for the logic in play, thank -you KAT , ***** five stars and a RED RIBBON FOR BEST ANSWER AND 25 GOLD TO BOOT, THANKS AGAIN : ) IOU-0 60 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
