Tattoo Apprenticeship-TATTOO ARTISTS/APPRENTICES ONLY PLEASE!?

Apprenticeships are completely contingent upon the tattoo artist. You need to find someone who is willing to take on an apprentice and see what his/her rules are. Your age may be an issue purely from the standpoint of the laws of the land and how those would affect the insurance policy that the parlor has.

In addition, tattoo artists may not take on someone so young because, frankly, younger people are more fickle and the purpose of an apprentice is that they join your parlor and continue to do work for you. As for pay, some pay some don't. If the artist is really great or popular, they may even charge to take on an apprentice and you may find yourself working long hours for free (or even paying for it) to keep up with the apprentice schedule.

Then again, we pay tens of thousands to take college courses for 2-5 years for a degree these days and honestly tattoo artists make about what most college grads do right out of school, if not significantly more. Before you can become an apprentice, the artist may also have rules. Before I could begin my piercing apprenticeship I had to pass Anatomy & Physiology (and give him an official transcript with an "A" grade), I had to take the OSHA bloodborne pathogens class, I had to take a basic piercing safety course, and there was another basic class that escapes me right now, before I could even start.

If you are going into tattooing, there's also an art aspect that may require a portfolio and will depend on each artist as to your talents. It basically meant 3 months of prep work (including the college course in A&P), hard work, and a few hundred dollars for all the courses. Being able to learn the trade, on the other hand, was worth every penny and second of it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
