Tea Parties During Bush Administration?

Sigh. One more time (but since liberals refuse to learn, probably not the last) Who says we didn't? The Tea Party is made up of Americans concerned over the direction the country is moving.

Taxation, runaway spending and unreasonable growth of government being the core issues. What these people did (long before the Tea Party organized into a movement) was vote with their feet. Specifically, in 1992, 1996, 2006 and 2008 these same people decided NOT to vote for Republicans.

They either voted for a 3rd party candidate (Ross Perot) or simply stayed home. The results were obvious: 8 years of Clinton, losing Congress in 2006 and BO in 2008. So despite the fact that no organized Tea Party existed, the very same people DID make their voices heard.

It's not our fault that the Republicans didn't hear the cry or that liberals misinterpreted the cry as a "mandate" from the people. And since these people actually had day jobs and were actively involved with improving this country they never attended protests (frankly most didn't want to be associated with a liberal tactic). The Tea Parties formed when the long slow road to liberalism/socialism we had been on turned into a run away freight train barreling for the edge of the cliff.

Hmmm. Let me think, let me think. Oh yeah, voting democrats into positions of power.

Remember 2006? The democrat slogan "Had Enough"? Well people did, and they voted a democrat majority into the Congress, a democrat into the White House, and everything about change and running the government more efficiently has not been delivered!

So now, Tea Parties are even more angry about how their country is being run, they're just not silent anymore.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
