I believe the last time Thanksgiving was on Nov 26 was 1998. The only event I readily find on that date is Tony Blair became the first British prime minister to speak to the Irish parliament. Not the last time it was on a Thursday but in 1941 it was Thanksgiving on Nov 26 and that's the year FDR switched it back to the fourth Thursday of the month.
Nov 26 was also the date when Lincoln first declared a national Thanksgiving day.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
