Harder is a relative word. But usually, how hard a person punches depends on how fast his fists travels. Let's put it this way.

While a farm tractor is huge and likely to crush you underneath it's huge wheels. But if you stand in one spot and let it just ram you at it's top speed of around 20mph, then all you are likely to suffer is a lot of bruises and maybe a concussion from hitting your head on the ground. Compare that to being hit by a sportscar that's running at a hundred miles per hour and you'll probably end up flying in the air before landing hard on the ground with broken bones from the force of the impact.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
