She's probably on the pill or some other type of hormonal birth control...it would be wise for you to know what she's on. In regards to pregnancy protection, condoms aren't really NEEDED...but they're a great extra level of protection in case she forgets her pills or something. They also protect against STDs/STIs.

It's not wrong for you to want to make extra sure to protect yourself and make sure she won't get pregnant.
