1 Beats me, but if this will help, I had one that was 16 when he died. I was devastated if you can believe that! No more pets - you get too attached to them!
2 Isn't that the truth. I love pets but at a minimum, a small cat or dog (not tiny 12-18lbs)can live anywhere from 12 to 16 years with extreme cases of up tp twenty. Cats pretty much follow dogs.
Potential lifespan deals more with weight and size than the 7 per 1 yr rule of thumb assumed with dogs. The larger the breed, the shorter the lifespan and weight acts as a contributing factor. (overweight midsize dog vs. fit midsize, the overweight dog will have a shorter span.)Since small is the only size I've owned personally I can't advise more.
The exception to the long life of cats is the outdoor cat, which has a life expectancy of only about 5 to 6 years :-( The average indoor cat should live well into it’s 20’s! There are of course factors that contribute to how long a cat will live. These are genetics, the care that the cat receives (veterinary care, spaying and neutering, shots, etc.), whether it is an indoor or outdoor cat, diet (it should be fed high quality natural organic food.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
