Peter was martyred and they crucified him by hanging by hanging him upside down on the cross, per his request as he didn't deem himself worthy to be killed the same way Jesus was.
Stephen was stoned to death. He was the first Christian Martyr.
Bartholomew was beaten with rods and was beheaded.
James son of Alpheus was stoned and clubbed to death.
Andrew was crucified but his hands were tied, rather than nailed to prolong his agony.
James, son of Zebedee was executed by sword as commanded by Herod Agrippa.
The Bible only mentions the deaths of two apostles, James who was put to death by Herod Agrippa I in 44 AD and Judas Iscariot ( Judas was a disciple but not an apostle) who committed suicide shortly after the death of Christ. The details of the deaths of three of the apostles (John, the Beloved, Bartholomew and Simon the Canaanite) are not known at all, either by tradition or early historians. The deaths of the other seven apostles are known by tradition or the writings of early Christian historians.
According to traditions and the Bible, eight of the Apostles died as Martyrs. It is believed at least two of the Apostles, Peter and Andrew were crucified (the upside down is just embellishment and there is no record written or oral that says anything about Peter requesting a certain position to die in).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
