The owner of my neighbourhood shop sells eggs with double yolks, I mean all eggs with double yolks inside.?

They say the chance of getting a double yolk at random is 1,000 to 1 So the chance of getting 2 out 2 double yolks is 1,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000 (a million to 1) then you keep multiplying by 1,000 for each extra egg added to the sequence. 3 eggs - 1,000,000,000 (a thousand million to 1) 4 eggs - 1,000,000,000,000 (a billion to 1) 5 eggs - 1,000,000,000,000,000 (a thousand billion to 1) 6 eggs - 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 (a trillion to 1) Of course its not strictly true, because the 6 eggs were all from the same box and weren't picked at random. They almost certainly came from the same farm, probably the same breed, maybe the same hen.....so the odds are drastically reduced.

They assumed that each egg having a double yoke is an independent event, but that is unlikely to be true. If the probability really was 1 in 10^18, then if all 6 billion humans alive opened a box of eggs a day, then the chances are it would be hundreds of thousands of years before this was likely to occur.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
