Oh agree, I think she should have stepped back and let someone else count votes. I'd just be careful about what people say. I've worked with a lot of kids and what they perceive to be true is not always true.
They take those points of view home to their parents and then people talk. I'm not saying that the teacher isn't manipulating votes, mind you, but I'm saying that it's hard to pin an argument on hearsay, and no one honestly has any real evidence that would support the rumors. I don't think you can do much about a vote that has already happened without creating hard feelings at school.
However, before the next election or next event, you might talk to someone a little higher up than the teacher and explain that you are worried about a conflict of interest, and that, to avoid ugly rumors and insinuations, it might be in everyone's best interest for the teacher to not be involved in making a selection if her daughter is running for election or trying out for a part. I wish your daughter the best at her new school and I hope she wins in the future--sounds like the school could use a fresh perspective. Niamh 51 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
