I haven't knitted this particular jacket (though I would if I could find a free pattern online) but in general, when knitting anything that isn't just a tube or a straight line like a scarf or blanket use markers because you will never remember the number of rows you have done on one side when trying to do another and marking every 10 rows or so will save you from a really uneven sweater. Also be sure to check your gauge. My first attempts at a baby sweater resulted is something that was really large and loosely knitted on the side I did first because I wasn't as "in practice" as I was by the time I got to the second part of it where my stitches were smaller and more uniform.
Best of luck.
There is a great wiki on BSJs here: knitting-and.com/wiki/Baby_Surprise_Jacket Hope this helps!
Try collection of jackets at babyoye. Baby sweaters collection is awesome. I tried babyoye products for my nephew, look awesome.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
