No they won't tarnish if you wear daily Actually if you wear silver everyday, it does not tarnish. It is when you leave it that it gets oxidized. You can always use toothopaste to polish up your silver as the toothpaste has sodium bicarbonate that helps remove the tarnishing.

Whether silver does/does not irritate your skin varies by person so you will have to try it! You can also put some tea tree oil on your ear holes, this will close any open pores and prevent you from getting an infection if you are prone. Happy wearing!.

I think sterling silver tarnishes less when worn all the time than it does laying around. I have a slim sterling silver cuff bracelet that I don't take off and have not had an issue with tarnish. The same goes for the earrings I wear the most.

For things you don't wear frequently, I would get a small jewelry box lined with a material that helps protect them from tarnish. That works pretty well, better than keeping pieces in a small ziplock bag. You can also get a jar to dip the jewelry in to remove tarnish, but that has actually dulled some of my pieces over time.

Baking soda with a little water made into a paste cleans tarnish well, as does toothpaste (not the gel kind). I had an issue with one pierced ear developing a keloid but I was wearing many kinds of earrings at that time. After removal and cortisone injections it was re-pierced and now I wear mostly silver.

The other ear has never been irritated by anything. I don't have a nickel allergy. Can't promise there is no nickel in the small percentage of metal they mix with silver to make it sterling..

Yes, they tarnish badly unless sealed There are invisible sealer coats that protect them from tarnishing; but I still would not risk taking a shower with it, not sure how strong it is. There are ways to "untarnish" it though, chemically. Irritate ear lobes - I don't think so, I think silver is very anti-allergenic and actually a disinfectant/antibiotic..

I think it may depend... I have two rings that I haven't taken off in over 15 years & they don't have a spot on them, except for one right where it rubs against the gold one I have on the adjacent finger.. The sterling I pull out of the box once or twice a year, however, usually needs a vigourous cleaning. I don't have pierced ears tho, so I don't know the answer to that part of the question, but I can tell you that, especially with earrings, you probably won't know until you try it, no matter what other people's experiences have been. My best friend swells up like a jellyfish if she puts anything in the holes except solid 14k (or greater) gold, and I know at least 3 people who get hideous infections from any kind of earring they try to put in that hasn't been dipped in rubbing alcohol immediately prior to insertion.

Go figure....

I had all my silver earrings refitted with steel posts. Until I did that, they would irritate my ears just horribly. Some silver tarnishes badly, particularly the filigree type.

I have those professionally cleaned. I clean most of the rest of my silver jewelry myself, using that special double cloth made specifically for that purpose.

I love sterling silver, its all I wear. In addition, I think that the 'sterling' part of 'sterling silver' means that it won't tarnish. Not 100% sure about that but do know ive never had a piece of sterling silver tarnish.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
