If you're doing this as a permanent, long term connection, then you ought to call a plumber. He or she will solder/weld a copper connector to the two ends, and it will be a solid and permanent connection. You can do it yourself, depending on the ends of the water supply pipe (is it threaded?

) and the end of the tankless heater. You have a couple of choices, depedning on your sksill and the amount of space you have. You can get a copper 3/4" to 1/2" adapter.

Apply teflon tape to the threads of the ends and then tighten. Easy as pie, if you can get them close enough. You can also get reinforced multi-ply hose in various lengths.

The water won't be under high pressure, so you don't need to worry about that, and it won't already be hot (it's going to the heater) so you can use a standard, non-insulated hose material. You need to get the correct adapters (at oen end 3/4" female, probably, and at the other end 1/2" female), and then just tighten each end. Doing it yourself is cheaper but not as good as a solid welded connection.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
