I am thankful for the opportunity to share information with the more experienced and also the less experienced here in this section. I have learned that there are some universal truths that we all practice and also some of the specialties that give the individual styles their individuality. I think also that there is a group of really great individuals that are willing to take time out of their lives to help those on here that really want to learn something.
That shows their heart, their commitment to martial arts, and how martial arts have become ingrained into their lives for the better. One of Nagamine Shoshin's dreams for the world was World Peace through the propagation of Martial Arts. We are at least finding comment ground and making lasting relationships for the betterment of the martial arts and in some ways the betterment of the world through the betterment of each individual.
Funakoshi Gichin said "The ultimate aim of the art of Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in perfecting the character of its participants." Dr. Jigoro Kano - Founder of Judo 1882 said "THE GOAL IS SIMPLE, ONE STUDENT AT A TIME" "By educating one person and sending him into the society of his generation, we make a contribution extending a hundred generations to come." I am glad to be a participant in this.
Just the idea that there are so many people willing and wanting to share information is what brings me here. To me, Martial Arts is a very personal and individualized practice and yet it has this uncanny ability to bring us all together. I don't always agree with what's being said but at the same time, I like that everyone has a difference of opinion.
Whomever asks the question is bond to get an answer that will speak an ounce of truth to them.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
