Today is the 100th anniversary of International Womens Day. What will you be doing to show support?

What I do every Woman's day: Dress up and sing: I enjoy being a girl. Do you think maybe this is why the wife and I aren't together? .

I'm sending a huge hug and KUDOS to all of my fearless sisters who, with their personal strength and vision, carve out pathways through this troubled world upon which those who follow may tread in their battle for equality. May the freedoms that rightfully belong to us be realized. We must be strong and passionate about our truth, for our oppression is strong and forceful and has been for centuries.

May the patriarchal oppression upon our history, our bodies and our intelligence be removed as we each rise within our own lives above intimidation and its archaic force in government and corporate systems. Only as we awaken from the slumbering travesty of the patriarchal diminishing of our sexuality and our beings, and only as we regain our rightful place in the consciousness of humanity will there be peace in this world. Women who foolishly succumb to a deranged, lesser being created in the minds of ignorant males, and rail against the rights of their sisters are lost.

They have Stockholm Syndrome. They unwittingly support those who have taken them from their truth and their will. But today we celebrate those women who will not be diminished or controlled.

These women are truly gifts to all women everywhere. Yay! A toast to goddesses everywhere and the fulfillment of our dreams, not 'given' to us, but claimed as our rightful bounty.

Eat chocolate, buy something beautiful, drink wine! She jumps off her soapbox and goes home.

I don't know why someone has to use this question to put down a woman. What was your point dpdavis? Men are so fricking transparent.

I can't believe you got a thumbs down on this. People seem to forget that women all over the world stuggle everyday for basic rights. I applaud you sister and toast to your inner goddess.

It just goes to show ya, people with a distorted mind set don't even see what's put before them. They just react. Anyone who doesn't like the idea of celebrating women is frankly, an example of how it is women have been so oppressed in the first place.

Apparently, what I did was vote for three males in our local city council election. We had a city councilmember who actually said that she was qualified "Because I'm a woman. " Her career ended in her picking a fight with a group of girl scouts, so there's the value of her being a woman as regards her service as a councilmember.

If she'd said, "Because I support girl scouts," I'd have considered that sufficient. Do you? .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
