An arithmetic sequence has a 5th term which is twice the first. Show that a = 4d 5th term = a+4d first term = a a+4d = 2a 4d = 2a-a 4d = a a = 4d.

U5 = a + (5 - 1)d = a + 4d a + 4d = 2a 4d = a.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
