I know I'll step on some toes here, but frankly, I don't think there are any. I believe they had a purpose at the beginning of the Christian era to usher in a new revelation with signs and wonders. I agree with you, those who advertise themselves as prophets and healers are usually people who are in the "business".
If you read the New Testament, you will notice that although Jesus and the apostles healed a lot of people they never ever advertised a "healing ministry" or called on people to come and be healed. They simply responded to occasions as they arose. What I have seen and heard of "Christian healers" is totally different from that.
Edit: Sylvia, Billy Graham never said or thought or implied any such thing. Quit making stuff up like that. It is slander.
Lockstin, in the more than 40 times I have read my Bible through, I have never seen anything that even implies that Christianity would cease to exist. Why make stuff up like that? I could just as easily state that the Bible puts Canada as the site for the Garden of Eden - and somebody might believe me!
Actually, there are quite a few out there with the ministry of a prophet. However most are truly humble and not out for a big name or to make their fortune, so they do God's will when and where he sends them without a big fuss.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
